Perplexity outage FAQ
Is Perplexity down right now?
You can see the current Perplexity status at the top of this page. We check Perplexity automatically every 3 minutes and collect reports from users at the same time. If reports spike sharply, we mark it as an outage.
How do I know if Perplexity is down for everyone or just me?
Look at the report chart: if nobody else has reported a problem in the last hour and our checks are fine, the problem is most likely on your side (internet, device, app). If reports are rising sharply, Perplexity has an outage.
What should I do when Perplexity is not working?
When Perplexity is overloaded, waiting a few minutes, refreshing the page or starting a new conversation usually helps. “Something went wrong” errors tend to be short-lived.
Why is Perplexity not working?
The most common causes are a server outage at Perplexity, scheduled maintenance, a faulty update, problems with your internet provider or a sudden surge of users. Perplexity usually announces the exact cause on its official channels.
